-Manticore-

I've been on such a big fantasy kick lately O_O Oh well I don't mind

Anyways I have to say that work really inspired me to do this pic, her gallery is full of amazing piccys...her gallery is definately a must see There is her version of a manticore in her gallery, and it made me want to try and create my own...I also did research to try and find out what it looked like, and there were sooooo many different...ugly....ways of drawing it ;_; so I broke it down to; Red lion, scorpion tail, big teeth

Anyways...he was fun to draw, it's been ages since I've drawn a lion or a big cat of any kind O_o I used to draw them a lot when I was a little kid, but now I've turned to dragons and my lion anatomy is really laaaaame

Coloured with prismacolor pencils, coloured pencils, watercolour paints (for the sky) and white acrylic paint (for the stars and white highlights ^_^ )

p.s yes I know the lava looks lame T_T I couldn't be bothered finding a ref for the lava
